From NRT, you could go to HEL (twice weekly on AY), LHR (twice daily on BA), or any of several US cities (SJC, ORD, JFK, LAX, DFW) on AA.

Earn 25% AA mileage on BA with a L fare, earn 100% AA mileage on a Finnair L seat.

Nope, but a number of my co-authors are (different years, and different disciplines). That's the closest I'm getting to that personally (and having offices next to them from time to time).

The BA flight from LHR-ARN can be booked as an AA or AY codeshare, earning full AA miles.

Thank you sir. Last question, and then I'm ready to make reservations. How much CX mileage will I earn on an L in BA?

At least I'm keeping people interested in the thread with the Nobel sideshow ("pay no attention to the man behind the curtain").
