QF Gold FF lounge access

Hey guys,

Did a search, but didn't get much information.

Being a QF Gold FF obviously qualifies you for oneworld lounges worldwide because of the qantas club status attached to it. I was wanting to know if you can use it to access business class lounges as well or not? We are heading to the US soon and it would be good to access the business class lounges. We would be flying coach, not business.

regards

Simon

As far as I know OW lounges comes in only two varieties (except obviously for the Concorde Room(s)) - Business lounges and First Lounges (oh ofcourse also arrivals lounges but access to these I believe is governed by your class of service on the arriving flight/airline and not by FF status).

As a QF Gold and OW Sapphire you are entitled to use any OW business class lounge when flying on a OW flight. In the US flying domestically (or internationally) you have access to any Admiral's Club (but not the Flagship Lounge as they are considered First Lounges and only available to OW Emerald FFs).

Hope this answers your question.

Actually, it is the OneWorld Sapphire status that is associated with your QF Gold FF status that gets you access to the OneWorld lounges. A Qantas Club membership (which is complementary with QF Gold status) only gets you access to QF, BA, AA and US lounges when travelling on that particular carrier.

So yes, you can access the AA Admirals Club lounges in the US prior to AA flights. In many cases there is only one lounge (eg an AA Admirals Club lounge). At airports where there is a specific First Class lounge (eg LAX T4 Flagship Lounge) you will only have access to the Admirals Club lounge. When leaving Australia, you will have access to the Qantas Club business class lounge.

Arrivals lounge

The QF Plat should enable access to LHR arrival lounges if you are travelling in economy and WTP if you are on a BA or QF long haul flight, according to the theory anyway.
