¡Pobrecitos! My heart bleeds for your "Primera" experience.. not much! :) (If you like beef, drop in for lunch at Cabaña Las Lilas in Pto. Madero... they used to have a lovely Malbec, Weinert Estrella 1977, perfect with a nice bife de chorizo ... )

On a serious vein, it seems to vary between airlines - I bought an AA ticket for my wife with my credit card online in July, and she was not asked for it at any point in her voyage.
