taking a quick side trip to Rome on BA in biz...

any lounges to speak of?

From memory, BA has quite a large lounge with reasonable seating and eating. I do not think that it has the showers and business centre etc. I cannot remember what QF have in Rome.

Expect the usual loud Italians.

I do not remember it being filled with Smoke.

I think that it was reasonably busy with the LGW and LHR flights going around the same time but this may have changed.

There is a BA EC, one of the more grim ones on the network, but it is about the only place you can have a cig in an otherwise smoke-free airport. I don't remember anything about showers there though.

Otherwise it's a shared lounge called Le Anfore, a windowless place in the basement though probably more convenient for the departure gate. It does have showers.

Both lounges are open to F/J pax, Marco Polo Diamond, Gold and Silver members.
