One World timetables on the web.
Just thought that the gathering of the following links may be of use to someone for timetables in pdf format.
Timetables http://www.aerlingus.com/cgi-bin/obe...261&Category=3 for point to point. http://www.aatimetable.com/aa.pdf http://downloads.cathaypacific.com/c...xtimetable.pdf http://www.finnair.com/filecontent/c.../timetable.pdf http://www.iberia.com/OneToOne/gateway_gb.jsp then Iberia Online tab and then bottom link to timetable, non-downloadable and point to point. http://www7.lan.com/cgi-bin/itinerar...itinerario.cgi non-downloadable and point to point. http://www.qantas.com.au/flightinfo/qf_pdfTimetable.pdf As the BA site is down, I will add it to the list later. Planning Tools The 1W planning tool links are as follows. http://www.oneworldtimetable.com/oneworld.exe from the AA site, no mention on AY, CX, QF, EI, IB, LA and even oneworld.com! Can we have someone check the links and give a review to the planning tool? Mileage calculators What about a set of mileage tool links for the 1W flights? Once we have gathered all of this lot then we will get a central hosting site for all of the information, work has agreed to host it. Has someone done this already? What about some function to tell us what classes are available as a general rule on the flights. For example, CX can mix some with F being available on some but not others etc... The data we need to give out advice? Is all that we need for xONEx advice the following: Rules using the links we have already (including carriers, booking classes etc) Fares Timetables and planning tools Telephone numbers of the airline RTW specialist desks. Mileage tools Status rules for collection on flights. Happy landings. Spotwelder |

1. Some airlines, particularly CX and IB, show no more than a couple of months of their schedules, so long range planning with this tool is difficult. 2. The option which shows all flights from A to B is great, but includes non-stop flights only, which can be very confusing, particularly for a OWE planner looking for direct flights with one stop or more. 3. It is buggy, and the authors show no inclination to fix it. Take good care when working with the calendar, which is lousy. 4. You can update it weekly if you want, but it takes some time with a slow connection, because it downloads everything again (and leaves the old stuff on your disk, for you to clean up). 5. Be careful with the code-shares, because the tool shows all of them, even the ones operated by non-OW carriers. |

A little time with it, though, and one can certainly start getting fluent on how to get from A to B via YYZ... (and Dallas, of course...) |
Thw OW timetable is far from pefect (as noted); however, it's still an invaluable tool when planning a RTW or similar. Esp the abc --> ALL AIRPORTS function.
(Now if they'd only add the mileage for each segment, it would save a great deal of bother.) |
Unfortunately the oneworld itinerary data is organized by segment, not by flight #.. so calculating direct flights is a bit tricky.
I can find all flights A->B and B->C with the same flight number, but there can be issues with overlapping dates or flights on different dates, etc. I've been working on a Oneworld itinerary validator tool, it works pretty well so far (open jaws confuse it) except some of the transit rules. I'm also attempting to integrate it with the oneworld itinerary data, to make sure that the itinerary can be done with existing flights. Also on a side note I've been working on an award ticket mileage calculator, it will show mileage required for one-way/round-trip/point-to-point itineraries on a number of airlines. Sounds like something people might be interested in? :) Eg. enter Round Trip: dallas to sydney returns: (Y,J,F requirements) aa (all airlines): 75,125,145 aa (oneworld): 100,130,180 united (star): 60,90,120 qantas (ba/aa/qf): 80,160,200 qantas (oneworld): 100,175,250 delta: 100,150,200 etc. |
Keep it up
good work chaps and chapettes (any posting here?)
Can anyone guess why hauteboy, living in Austin TX, with AA and QF FF cards would chose to use Dallas to Sydney as the demonstration of software that sounds great? I will try to pull together a set of mileage charts in excel for all routes flown currently. Useful stuff is arriving for me to integrate. Does anyone have the Star file rules in word? I can get them converted from HTML and reformatted to take out all of the extra lines we do not need post Amadeus or whatever. When getting Star files, BA have real difficulty printing them out, am I best checking with AA? "Together we can crack it..." |

How about: lpb-fru aa:all_award = 135,180,220 ua_star = 70, 100, 130 asiamiles = 110,145,210 qantas aa/ba/qf = 110,220,275 qantas other = 125,235,290 aa oneworld = 100,130,180 |
BA is up at the moment, so BA timetables available from:
http://www.britishairways.com/flightTimetable.servlet point-to-point http://www.britishairways.com/travel/wirels/public/en_us PDF, Palm, PC, PocketPC formats - US website but global information Not much of a contribution, I'm afraid, especially compared with the 1W gurus here and spotwelder's brilliant stickies, but... Keep on flying - and sharing! TA! |
For those who use the combined OW timetable: CX flights now appear to be loaded into the timetable through March, 2005. (IB flights are still listed only through the end of Oct 2004.)
