Accra Turnaround

Hi,

Just wondering a couple things:

1. Is the following flight sequence valid on a OWE:

(Africa)-JNB-xLHR-ACC-LHR- (Europe)

I.e. does this come within the "transit between Ghana and another continent" clause, or is it supposed to be transiting to another continent other than Africa (where Ghana is).

2/ Has anyone done a turn around in Accra? Is there any information on immigration/customs, or could I remain air-side, etc.

Just thinking that this could be a great mileage run ex Europe for people with Africa included as a continent on a OWE.

Cheers,

cpShawnie

Try searching for "Accra" ...... there are a fair number of threads which may (or may not) be of interest, including this one....

You can't do Africa-Europe-Africa-Europe as you can only enter/exit a continent once (except Europe, N.America, Asia with exceptions). You could do JNB-LHR-CAI or JNB-LHR-KRT, due to the oddness of OWE geography (both CAI/KRT considered in Europe). You could also do HKG-LHR-ACC-LHR or JFK-LHR-ACC-LHR, these would be considered legal.
You can do an almost-airside transit.. the transit official can escort you through immigration to checkin and back, as you can't get a return boarding pass in London.
