No, they don't include taxes. From the starfile for the Visit Europe pass:

6N . 1. FARES ARE CALCULATED PER SEGMENT AS SPECIFIED
7N . BELOW AND ARE EXCLUSIVE OF ANY TAXES AND
8N . PASSENGER FEES WHICH MUST BE COLLECTED
9N . SEPARATELY.
10N .

Interesting that someone who is also interested in staying at the world's most expensive hotels (Burj, etc.), in just about any place he can think of, is also concerned about the nickels and dimes of taxes. I probably used to do the same thing when I was a schoolboy and daydreaming about traveling all over the world, so it's undoubtedly harmless, sort of like a pebble in a shoe.

Of course, had the OP taken the time to read the web site page to which he referred, the OP would have seen that "Fares are ... exclusive of any taxes and passenger fees."

I couldn't find where they say the tax and fees on the homepage.

Just because I am staying in 5 Star hotels that does not mean I don't have a right to know how much am I charged??

I just want to know whether or not should I get the COuntry pass as I just find out I can book seperate ba flights (discount) on the Aust BA.com site now!

FYI, I am not day dreaming! This is my 4th DONE rtw.

Sometimes I don't understand people.
Just because I travel in J and F Class and stay at five star hotels that does not mean I can't be concious of what I am paying

Why do you keep on calling it the Country Pass? It's called the Visit Europe/North America/Asia/Africa/South America/South Pacific PASS ! After all there is more than ONE country involved in each pass!

Taxes wil be calculated after you book your destinations. You can't really predict what the taxes will be.

At QF they always refer to it as a Country Pass.

But anyway I know what it is now.

And just to help you out, it is impossible to edit the thread name easily...

Premium air tickets aren't always associated with premium accomodations.

In fact, I recall meeting a FTer who arrived in HKG in CX F and stayed at the hostel in TST because "it was cheap".

;)

Agree,

I don't understand why some people on this board are so self absorbed about themselves.

Just because I travel in J or F Class that does not mean:

1) I can't eat @ Fast Food Outlets
2) Stay in hotels that are <5 stars
3) be budget concious

etc.....

I support newcx12345 and izzik's view. I've had a lot of help with Flyer Talk in order to get premium air tickets/accomodation and keeping my budget.

Mrs og and I usually head for a HI Youth Hostel if we can get a private room. This is perfectly satisfactory when we are doing our DONE4. We just make sure the bag tags with "priority" or "business" are off the bags before we arrive!
