Are Bonus Miles allowed on RTW tkts?

This is from AA:

Just fly round trip or one-way on a qualifying First or Business Class ticket between July 1, 2004 and September 30, 2004 and you can earn triple base miles on Cathay Pacific’s new daily non-stop service between New York (JFK) and Hong Kong. If you choose to fly on Cathay Pacific’s existing daily direct service from New York (JFK) to Hong Kong (via Vancouver) or from Los Angeles or San Francisco to Hong Kong you can earn double base miles on qualifying First or Business Class tickets. The Celebration Offer bonus miles are in addition to your class of service bonus and there is no limit to the number of times you can earn the bonuses during the promotion period

----------------------
So if I buy a RTW and use the JFK-HKG portion on Cathay Pacific -- do you think I will get the bonus miles.

BTW - what they do is give double bonus points -- making the trip worth 3X total actual miles .

Any feed back would be appreciated.
Thanks,
CFM

Absolutely. The RTW work great on oneway promotions (like this one); not so good on round-trip.

The only really annoying thing is that, as usual, this AA offer is only for those members with addresses registered in the US. I don't think I can ever recall a single AAdvantage offer which was of any use to any member based in Asia :(

Yep. Same with the Net SAAver Fares: every week a long list with lots of offers, but not one for flights to the US. I wrote to CS about this and I got a very polite reply saying, in short, that they are sorry but that's the way it is. Not a smart move, IMO.
