Question Old tickets, new PNR

Recently I missed the last 8 segments of an AONE4 itinerary, after which the whole reservation was removed. The tickets haven't expired yet, so I ran to the local oneworld office to have the dates changed.

I have the same segments (city pairs, flight numbers have changed) as the old reservation, so this was a date change, not a reissue. However, since the original reservation is gone, the ticket office created a new PNR with only the remaining segments and stickered the flight coupons to match the new dates.

This seems very suspicious to me, since:
  • The PNR doesn't represent a valid AONE4 itinerary
  • It doesn't contain any payment info or paper ticket numbers
  • The stickers haven't been endorsed with the new PNR

So, am I likely to run into problems at check-in, or have the reservation deleted because of non-payment? Should I ask for changes to be made to the PNR? If so, what changes?

Thanks!

Should be no problem at all. In fact there was no need to get the ticket stickered - the ticket coupons are valid for the routing shown on any date/time before the "Not Valid After" date. The only difficulty may be if the airline cancels the reservation because of the lack of ticket number. But if you have the airline PNRs then just call the airline directly and give them the number to enter.

That is the proper procedure and the ticket numbers can be (and probably have been) entered in the new PNR.

I've done that many times. One thing I've been told is to give them the ticket number to enter into the PNR as another FTer has stated.
