LAX: Qantas First or OneWorld Lounge?

Flying back from LAX in First Monday night… any recommendations as to which lounge is best? I would assume AA Flagship is a non-contender?

You'd certainly have to take the QF First lounge, as the Oneworld lounge is basically the QF business lounge :)

Enjoy it!

The OneWorld lounge is another circle of hell, to be avoided at all costs. Crowded, noisy, and completely misses the point of what an airport lounge should be. I would recommend the AA Flagship lounge if possible - an easy stroll to and from TBIT.

For me, it's Qantas First every time, but the AA Flagship Lounge offers a better champagne at the moment (Bollinger).

Yes, QF First is nice but suffers from having no views. If, like me, you prefer gazing lovingly at aeroplanes then AA Flagship is the one. Just a personal view…

If time is not a problem I would try both Qantas First and AA Flagship. My preference is Qantas First but not by much and walking between the two is not difficult.

Agreed with others: Go to QF First initially, dine a la carte, then wander to AA FL for Bollinger/drinks/views/dessert. It's a 10 min walk between the two.

(The still wines at the AA FL are currently better than QF F too, IMO)

We did QF First on the way out of LAX on QR earlier this month; décor is a bit dated and service can be somewhat slow [staff gathered behind the bar to hang out and talk, for instance], but the food was good, it wasn't crowded, and it beats other lounge options by a long shot. Definitely use this one if you have the choice.

Thanks everyone. I ended up with Qantas First and chose not to move to AA Flagship, simply as I was settled. I didn’t find the table service slow, very attentive actually.
I was also partly influenced by doing a ‘lounge-run’ in the outbound of CCR, First, then Galleries B gates.

on a separate note, I wonder if LHR will create a C-Gate lounge as part of a solution to the logistical and capacity challenges the upcoming Lounge refresh/ refits will bring in A Gates
