Lounge Access on Mixed Itinerary

Traveling on AA from US to Madrid in award business class U but coach award class X Madrid to Qatar on Qatar Airways. Used miles for business class award miles but only coach available on Qatar. Will I have lounge access in Madrid?

do you have status? If not then I doubt you will have lounge access in MAD

I think it may depend on what time of day you arrive in Madrid.

Connecting between oneworld marketed and operated flights: First and Business Class customers connecting on the same day of travel, or before 06:00am the following day, can access the lounge when travelling between an international long haul (a oneworld international long haul flight is defined as an international flight marketed and operated by any oneworld carrier with a scheduled flight time longer than 5 hours) and an international short haul or domestic flight (and vice-versa).

Arrive Madrid 5:45 am and depart 8:05 am. Would this be just under the 6 am wire to get it?

I think you have valid grounds to argue you would have access based on this policy, yes, although it's possible the intention of the policy is to cover passengers departing before 6am.

The policy is same day OR before 6am the following day. The OP is traveling the same day, the 6am caveat has no relevance. It's meant to cover people who let's say arrive at 11pm and their connecting flight at 3am, therefore a different calendar day despite only being 4 hours apart.

I can see how that could be one interpretation. I could also see how the policy could be interpreted to provide lounge access for someone arriving at 2am on Monday and departing at 1am Tuesday.

SIN-HND-CDG

I’ll be taking a 10 pm overnight JAL Business Class flight from Singapore to Haneda, arriving the next morning. I then connect to a JAL First Class flight to Paris departing at 11 am.
Am I able to access a First Class lounge in Singapore before my first flight?

What F lounge are you trying to get into at SIN? The best lounge should be the QR lounge and a J ticket will get you in.

The oneworld rule you cited is irrelevant in this case because MAD-DOH is over 5 hours. It only is applicable if MAD-DOH is under 5 hours or domestic.

It does indeed, again, if the connecting flight is under 5 hours or domestic.

Once again, since SIN-HND is over 5 hours, the oneworld policy is that you will only have J lounge access at SIN.
