Miles Points Posting Delays
 

its 2025 and still some one world alliance airlines make customers wait weeks to get the miles and points. What does one world office actually do if it cant align miles and points to credit immediately alliance wide after a flight. It reminds me of the cheque clearing days in 1980s..

First, I believe that there is already a thread on this. Second, it depends on each partner's IT, which is why it's inconsistent. Some are clearly better than others.

The whole different IT systems just doesnt cut it in 2025. Very effective low cost super secure integration tools are readily available.

Crediting of FF miles nothing to do with OW alliance. From 1 airline to the other. Some airlines use SABRE (AA AS) and others Amadeus (most). A customized variations.
Oneworld is a loose marketing alliance of airlines. Some co operate with each others and compete head to head.

Sure the marketing includes a product which also has miles and points as a feature. Not sure what the word "loose" means here..either is an alliance or it is not. Differing or even competing ticketing and Reservation systems should have nothing to do with the timely posting of miles and points in 2025. Its their currency but sure is our money.
