Need advice on possibly changing a RTW segment NRT Sin

Hello, I currently have a segment on AA 8482 (Business Class) Feb 26 6:10pm arriving 12:50am.

When I finally started thinking about the hotel, I realized that late arrival could be troublesome.

We would want to see the waterfall in the airport. Then go to a hotel. So checkin at 4am or 2pm/3pm?

Anyone see a better flight? Don't have EF and would like to know before calling AA desk.

Anyone arrived that late in SIN and have advice on what to do/see and when to check into a hotel?

Thanks in advance.

First - Singapore would be a better place to be arriving at midnight than Japan for sure, you wouldn't really struggle to get around and a taxi to a hotel would be simple. Singapore is, to a fair degree, a 24/7 city. If you do want to see the waterfall it is going to be a lot more fun at 2pm rather than 4am (the bus is a lot less frequent to get there)

However, the answer is fairly simple - there is literally only one oneworld flight a day that goes NRT-SIN, which is the one you're on. So, unless you change your trip to go to HND (2 flights a day at 0:10->06:40 or 10:55->17:25), or go via HKG (lots of flights at all times) you will just have to manage the late arrival:

See the flights (excluding codeshares, i.e. bare metal)

So then you get down to a hotel - you could get an expensive one at the airport (or in it), but most people would go downtown to get to a hotel in their budget/price range, and enjoy the city. For that it really is best discussed in the Singapore travel forum - but personally I would go to a hotel and see the city during the day. There is a lot less transportation and things to do at 4am, and a hotel will charge you for a night unless you're checking in at ~2pm (typically) unless you find a place that charges by the hour.

Thanks - great info about the flight. So maybe hang out at an airport lounge then the wate fall then travel to a hotel and leave luggage while doing a bit of touring. Any hotel that has a lobby or lounge for a couple of hours. The Singapore travel forum seems a bit lite on info.... Looking at the Carlton...

Btw Singapore hotels are used to the late night arrivals... There are plenty of flights arriving around midnight.
If you are trying to save yourself a hotel night, that's one thing.. But the hotels are well aware of it.

So the idea about possibly changing to HND made me think perhaps that might be the better airport to use.

Currently have AA61 DFW NRT on feb 22 and AA 8482 NRT SIN on feb 26, would changing to HND be a good option in that the airport is closer to Toyko center? Perhaps the time and maybe the money (I.E. air change fee and transportation to/from airport) might justify changing?

We have come to terms with the current booking times but just second guessing the tokyo airport. Thanks for advice/information.

Nrt has plenty of reasonable options for airport transportation. I wouldn't change your ticket just because of that.
