Reservation not correct on CX website
My remaining segments of an AONE3 are on BA/QR/CX/UL. Ticketed by AA RTW desk. The AA PNR is showing all flights confirmed. Since all those airlines use the Amedeus PNR, I decided to check each airline BA/QR/UL all OK. CX does NOT have the flight CX252 LHR-HKG, one of the few F class flights. I did confirm with AA today that all flights are confirmed. The Finnair site could not display the itinerary for some unknown/generic reason. Since CX handles the RTW tickets in the back office, I wonder whether it makes sencse to call the USA phone line. I do NOT use whatsapp.
Suggestions? |

Suggestions? FWIW, as a general rule after changes are made, mine or theirs, I always either receive a new confirmation or I call AA RTW desk to request a new confirmation/receipt; upon receipt, I check to make sure it contains a new ticket number. I also check itineraries every Sunday morning following possible Saturday night schedule updates. If schedule changes have occurred, pending changes to my itinerary may not have yet been ticketed. With it being Monday, perhaps the CX252 LHR-HKG schedule has changed or perhaps an equipment change resulting in no F class on the new flight as this may put things in limbo. Another thing to look for is to compare what's in your AA reservation against EF schedules, flight numbers and equipment for your travel date(s). There may be an incongruity between what's in CX's (or other carrier's) system and what's in your AA itinerary. I've had something like this happen to an AONEn years ago. |

The last time changes were made to your reservation, yours or their changes, did you get a confirmation from AA with a new ticket number? If not, the flights may be confirmed in AA's system but it may not have been reticketed.

There may be an incongruity between what's in CX's (or other carrier's) system and what's in your AA itinerary. I've had something like this happen to an AONEn years ago. Because it was a date change only, no new receipt was sent because there was no fee. I thought that was odd, but I verbally got the new ticket number. I was told that one can get a receipt with the ticket number from the web site. It is not easy, but possible. The RTW agent said that they can no longer issue ticket receipts, they must come from ticketing. What is odd is that when I went to UL's web site, the ticket numbers were plainly visible. But BA's web site clearly shows the incorrect LHR-HKG information. The flight is not until Feb anyway. I ony bought an AONE3 because the difference between A and D ex-TYO was less than $2,000 at that time, so why not. I have flown only 1st class RTW's (5) since 2002, but always after a currency movement. My current itinerary is HND-JFK-LAX-NAS-LAX-ORD-ANC-DFW-LHR-DXB-DOH-CDG-LHR-HKG-CGK-CMB-NRT with 1st class flights in BOLD. I tried to fly on a carrier's prime route with 1st from that carrier's hub. DFW-LHR LHR-DXB DOH-CDG flights are on the A380 I love the A380, now that the 747 is gone. For BA avios earning, all flights thru June of this year have earned at the mileage+bonus rate, not the revenue based earning. The ticket has been changed several times after 18-Oct-2023. For example, the AA flight ANC-DFW earned about 9,000 avios while the ORD-ANC on AS earned about 3,400 avios. The BA flight DFW-LHR earned about 14,000 avios. I wonder what my upcoming LHR-DXB BA flight will earn. Stay tuned. |
