I'm looking for a one world status match and i am LOST

hello,

i've done a LOT of premium cabin travel this year on a *A RTW fare and as such have managed to gain TK elite plus status which is very nifty as it kinda grants me *G for 4 years, yay.
I do however still get put on a lot of (economy) one world flights through my employers and I always travel with 2x23kg bags for work - basically I really need that OW status!!! I had managed to status match to QR gold thoughout the pandemic but it is about to run out and damn... I need it!!

i've been scouring the web for days on strategies for matching but it seems at the moment there are very very few OW status matches available.... can anyone give me a really hot tip? i would really appreciate it!

AA offers paid status challenges but apparently they are currently giving them out to free for some people.

Also AS has a good match but I think it might only be for DL elites. I believe that they have an ongoing match too but it's 1 per lifetime I think

As the OP is seeking OW status, we're relocating this to the OW forum.

AA is the only one that I'm aware of. Generally it's easier to maintain AA status after you've earned it once because the elite bonus applies to all OW flights and counts toward your total LPs. But have a look first at the airlines you usually fly and the actual fare class. There are some very notable economy fares that earn zero in AA (and many other OW programs) and can only earn anything in their native programs. CX and MH have the most that I'm aware of. Wheretocredit is a great source for this info. Just select the airline and the actual fare code you've been flying on to gauge how it will credit. You'd need to achieve 75k Loyalty Points per year to maintain Platinum in AA, which isn't particularly difficult if you embrace the Loyalty Point system. For flights, you'd take Base miles + Cabin bonus (if any, usually only for premium cabin), then add that to 60% of base (if Platinum). So a 1000 flight on an airline other than AA, BA, and IB - let's assume a 100% earning fare for simplicity would earn 1600 miles and LPs (1000 base and 600 elite bonus). AA and starting next week BA and IB are all based on revenue and you'd get 8 miles & points per pre-tax dollar of the ticket price, that might be good or bad depending on the ticket price your company is buying you.

The number of BA's air-miles (avios) generated will be linked to the fare paid, but the way status-defining tier points are earned will remain unchanged.

Certainly bad news for most avios collectors. But if the OP's interest is in status (rather than air-miles for travel) BA remains as useful (or hopeless) as ever.
