FlyerTalk Forums - Seats listed on AA but not QF..

Hi all!

I’m flying a mix of AA/Qantas flights on one itinerary, in main cabin/economy, booked through a travel agency (work requirement out of my control). On my AA app for the Qantas operated flights it gives me a specific seat (48H, 48D) but on the Qantas app/website, this is not listed. It’s the typical “individual seat selection not available, select a seat preference” deal. I’m AA gold/OW ruby for reference, if that helps.

What are the odds I actually get those specified seats listed on the AA app? Or will I be playing the T-80 game with Qantas as flight date approaches?
