Oneworld Explorer considers AA's new JFK-DEL flight to be TPAC not Transatlantic

AA has announced it will commence a JFK-DEL service in November - see AA: JFK-DEL, 321T BOS-LAX, enhancements & more JetBlue codeshares May 3 - FlyerTalk Forums
I tried plugging it into an Oneworld Explorer itinerary in the online tool
and discovered that the tool considers it to be a transpacific flight, even though it is obviously a transatlantic flight (the great circle route passes Iceland and northern Norway)
It makes for some weird-looking itineraries, such as:

xONE3 including JFK-DELWhen AA flew ORD-DEL, that was (correctly) a transatlantic flight, which made for some interesting itineraries - see Musings ORD-DEL flight on a xONEn - it's like a Circle Pacific ticket - only better - FlyerTalk Forums

I cannot think of anything useful from the new flight

I remember there was a specific clause that stipulates ORD-DEL is a TATL flight. Maybe one will be introduced soon for JFK-DEL, so if anyone wants to take advantage of it, better book now.

For xONEn RTW ticket India is part of Asia.

For xCIRnn CirPac ticket it is also part of Asia, but CirPac rules state you can't fly further west than Thailand on a xCIRnn ticket.

For AAdvantage awards on American Airlines from NA to Indian Subcontinent it used to say travel was only via TATL. Now the AAdvantage award chart says nothing about the India or Indian subcontinent, which means it has not been updated to reflect award redemption amounts or routing for the new November JFK-DEL service.

For AA Partner award redemption it says:
*Transpacific travel from the Indian Subcontinent to Contiguous 48 U.S. states & Canada, Alaska, Caribbean or Mexico is permitted via Hong Kong only. Travel from the Indian Subcontinent to Hong Kong is permitted on Cathay Pacific and SriLankan Airlines. Travel for the transpacific sector from Hong Kong is permitted only on Cathay Pacific or American Airlines. Travel on other partners from the Indian Subcontinent is transatlantic only.
