How to reach Oneworld Silver quickly ?

Good morning,
I want to know which company is the best to achieve Silver status quickly at Oneworld? I have the impression that Qatar is more interesting than BA for example (no intermediate bronze status ..
On the other hand it may be a bigger level with Qatar?)
For info I have not particularly planned to travel with Qatar but especially with IB and BA

Thank you very much :)

The OW alliance does not have silver status. OW status are Emerald, Sapphire & Ruby,
https://www.oneworld.com/travel-benefits#benefits (go towards the bottom of the page)
QF silver is OW ruby. Different airlines/ffp's have different names for the equivalent OW status.

What do you expect from status?
OW ruby does not have that many benefits
Some OW ffp's, like QF, BA and AS (joins 31 Match 2021) required X flights on own aircraft for status. The detailed rules for this vary.
Other ffp's are revenue based, so status is by spend and/or other requirements. The detailed rules for this vary.

Generally you are better getting status/miles of the airline you fly most or of your home country. Many people get miles from non - flying activity (credit cards).

Have asked this thread to be moved from the QF subforum to the OW subforum

[mod hat] As this is not about Qantas, I will be moving this thread to the OW forum. [/mod hat]

QR Silver is Oneworld Ruby and equivalent to BA Bronze. BA Silver is Oneworld Sapphire and equivalent to QR Gold. In other words, there is a big difference between BA Silver and QR Silver.

Until OP can explain what it is that he wants, it is hard to provide any advice.

Fanciful names are less important than specific benefits.

The easiest way is likely a long business class trip on BA or partners, although it does require some actual segments on BA. On the other hand, the status is likely more valuable when earned on the airline you routinely fly.

The OP could also do a Gold challenge on AA if they’ll allow it. There was also a way to buy your way in on Finnair a while back. Follow the blogs and something will come up.

Good evening everyone
Thank you for your help
I especially want to have access to the Lounges.
It takes 300 Qpoints to become QR Gold
And 600 Executive Club points to become Silver.
So I think it's easier to become Gold at QR than Silver at BA
I am wrong ?
thank you :)

For lounge access you need OW Sapphire (the BA or QR equivalent)
QR Qpoints & BA Executive Club tier points are not equal. They are earned at different rates.
You need to do the calculations for your particular flights, based on route. fare booking code (a letter), flight number(marketed) and flight operator.
BA require 4 eligible BA-IB flights for BA Silver(OW sapphire). Details are on the BA web site and BA subforum on FT.
There is no simple yes/no or right/wrong answer.

I'm not really sure whether QR Gold is easier to get than BA Silver. It depends on your travel patterns.

However I do know that you will earn far fewer redeemable miles when crediting BA flights to QR and that you will need far more miles and taxes for award flights.

So if you don't care at all about actually spending miles usefully, you can study QR Privilege Club further.

The real taxes are the same for every flight/route. (cash or ff miles)
Awards with carrier surcharges can have some small additional real taxes if the award changes from a non revenue flight to a revenue flight (depends on jurisdiction)

Nope. BA Avios has lots of short haul redemptions where you pay a fixed amount in taxes / surcharges that is less than the taxes / surcharges due on a cash ticket. (BAEC is what the OP is comparing against)
