cashing out Chase points

Greetings -

New to points. Have amassed about 180K Chase points.
Would like to visit Morocco with my better half.

Am I correct in thinking that the best way is to transfer Chase points to an airline that's both a Chase partner and a OneWorld member?

Would like to fly Royal Maroc to avoid a connecting flight.

We live near DC, if that matters.

Insights, tips & tricks all welcome.

Thanks kindly.

When do you plan to go to Morocco? Royal Air Maroc (AT) is not scheduled to join oneworld until mid-2020, and most oneworld frequent flyer programmes will probably not take award booking until then, i. e., you have to wait until mid-2020 to even know if you can book.

Ahhh -- well, scratch that thought. So then, anyone with ideas on how to minimize point outlay to get to Morocco (later June/early July 2020)?

American airline begin their flight to Morroco at June 2020 from Philadelphiaia, maybe you want to check via this route?

Even though Royal Air Maroc is not currently a oneworld member, it is a frequent-flyer partner of the Iberia Plus program; and Iberia Plus is a Chase UR transfer partner (assuming that you hold one of the Chase cards that permits UR points to be converted to airline miles).

You would have to investigate award-seat availability for when you want to travel, as well as what type of cash surcharges -- if any -- Iberia Plus collects on Royal Air Maroc redemptions.
