EXPLORER - LND/HK/SYD/TOKYO/NYC/LDN Allowed

Hi first time booking a One World Explorer RTW Business Class ticket.
I'm confused with the rules on entering leaving continents.
Is London / Hong Kong / Sydney / Tokyo / New York City / London allowed?
Thanks
Paul

Welcome to FT.
Yes, your routing is allowed, as verified by oneworld dot com
https://rtw.oneworld.com/rtw/

You can book up to 16 segments, and you can optimize (get more miles try better products etc...) your routing by using the tools available on oneworld web site.
Most around this forum would agree that starting from UK is not as wallet friendly as Norway.

HELP!!!

Well I went to the One World site and filled in flights and got a price in GBP.
Then filled out Traveller details but it wouldn't let me book it.
Then I rang Cathay Pacific as the website said call them.
First flight is out of London - London / HK / Syd / Tokyo / NYC / London
The Cathay rep said not allowed as I am backtracking into Asia (HK / Syd / Tokyo
Any ideas?

This has been an issue for years with the language in the rules. The current rule reads:

(e) Only one intercontinental departure and one intercontinental arrival permitted in each continent except as follows:

1. Two permitted in North America.
2. Two permitted in Asia when one is for travel between the Southwest Pacific and Europe/Middle East.
3 Two permitted in Europe/Middle East for travel to/from/via Africa. If travel is to/from Europe in both directions, itinerary may not include Mauritius/South Africa.
Formerly, rule (2) required that the Europe < > SW Pacific entry/exit of Asia was not to involve a stopover (i.e. 24+ hours) which would have made your itinerary "legal" only if the first HKG stop was just to change planes. The stopover language has now been removed, so it appears "legal," but I suspect you've encountered an agent that's unaware of this subtle change. As in all such instances, the solution is to call again, armed with the rules in front of you.

Welcome to flyertalk. Be careful about abbreviating city names. In airline terminology, LND is not London. nor is LDN. LON is London. LND is Lander in Wyoming, USA and LDN is Lamidanda Nepal.
