Lounge Access with Family
As a OW Emerald (LA), I know that I am allowed to enter the OW or partner lounges with one guest.
In early 2018, we will be on quite an extensive family trip (for the most part booked in Y-Class) and it would of course be nice to refresh before or between flights at some lounge at those airports, where we are not entitled through our tickets. I would like to know, if at the following airports, there are any OW or partner lounges that would accept two additional guests (i. e. our two under-age sons) against a fee: - MXP (departing flight on QR) - DOH (UL) - KUL (MH) - REP (MH) - MAD (LA) I am of course not expecting it (no entitlement complex here), but if there was any of these lounges or airlines even accepting (under-age) family members as complimentary, it goes without saying that this would be even better. :) To be honest, I have not observed this policy with OW (not even with my home carrier LA as a Black member), but e.g. as a *A LH Senator you are granted access to LH's own and some more alliance partners' lounges with both your +1 and +0.5s (not sure, if there is a limit - I am only blessed with two), even if travelling in Y-Class. Yes, I know that another option could be Priority Pass, but I wanted to explore this path nonetheless. Thanks for some constructive hints! |
What do you mean by "under-age"? If they are, say 1 & 3 I think the answer might be quite different from if they are 14 & 16!
But I don't know of any OW lounges that have "for a fee" access top-ups. If they get in I think it would be as a favour at the discretion of the lounge reception. |
The boys are 10, respectively 15 years old.
As said, I am not primarily looking at "discretion", but rather at being granted access against a fee or as a "soft perk" (if such thing exists). |
