OW Lounge in GIG???
 

I did varios searches, but could only find the lounge situation in GRU, not in GIG. What OW lounges exists in RIO? I am Emerald, flying in Coach on AA to GRU.

IIRC, there are AA, BA and IB lounges at GIG. Given BA only fly certain days of the week from GIG, and both depart mid-afternoon I would doubt the lounge would be open by the time of the AA flights.

Despite exiting Rio 10-15 times I've never made it to the Admiral's Club there. I usually arrive 1.5-2 hrs pre-departure but check-in, immigration and security are all quite time consuming e.g the direct flights to MIA clash with the AF flight which can lead to queues. Also the AA flights at GIG seem to be boarded quite early.

IIRC the AC is airside, up the stairs and and to the right beside the duty free shop. I would guess it's similar to GRU, alcoholic drinks and nibbles but nothing special.

I was in GIG last month and the BA lounge has closed, and BA now use the AA lounge. The AA lounge is one of the best I have been in, and is certainly much better than their domestic lounges with loads of snacks on offer.
