Special AONE Fare

I was looking at the fewmiles unofficial oneworld info site for fares for RTW. A 6 continent AONE from Djibouti is 1,272,628 USD. The cheapest is MONE 3 continent for 447,028 USD. BA does go there. Quite unbelievable.

Sounds like a great deal! http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/wink.gif

I am sure it is some kind of error, there is no way those fares are correct.

I told FewMiles about that problem back in September, 2002. He has the currency as US$ and it should be Djibouti Francs. Unfortunately, it appears as though he is no longer maintaining the site so the information is considerably out of date.

For current prices and rules, UserMark has posted them here.

At prices like these I'd be a fool not to buy one http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif

That makes more sense, that is just over $7000.

ExMo, your spreadsheet seems to have left out the most significant digit in the base price for an AONE6 ex-Korea.

It only costs $929 http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif.

Shhh, it's a special fare. Don't tell OW about it. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/biggrin.gif

I fixed that once before but I must have used an older version when I did the CAI updates. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/redface.gif

It's fixed now. If you don't want to download the sheet again, just go to the Raw Fare Data sheet, unprotect it from the Tools menu (password is blank) and add a trailing 0 to the Korea AONE* fare in the seventh column (should be 11029100). Remember to Protect the sheet (using a blank password) once you are done and then Save the workbook.

Am I reading the details link posted above properly: an AONE6 from the US is currently USD10,500?
Yet from Egypt it is EGP51,710 = ~$8,400?

Without checking the details specifically, yes, that's about right.

Assuming you're US based and are interested in starting from CAI, another meaningful advantage is that you get 6 or 8 North American segments and as many stops if you want them, but of course give up similar rights in Europe.

No. The US fare is USD11,500, not 10,500. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif
