Fare increase ex-bkk?
 

I heard from my TA that the RTW fares ex-BKK are going to increase after April 30th. Does anyone know how much the increase is?

Any more updates? The data on fewmiles' site it a bit old for Thailand.

I'm assuming that Thailand is still the best place in Asia/Pacific to purchase an AONE or DONE.

Unfortunately, FewMiles does not seem to be updating his site anymore. Really too bad as it was a very comprehensive site. Anyway, the latest fares are available from UserMark's site here.

Thailand is still the best fare in at A/P region.

The Thai Baht may be quite stable against the US $ for now, but it will appreciate in the near to not too far future.

Guy Betsy, by what means do you base this statement on? It's a fairly bold proposition to speculate on currency fluctulations. The USD has been sliding against the AUD/GBP/EUR lately, but that doesn't necessarily mean the Bhat is going to also.

I have a friend who is in currency forecasts and that's what I've been told... amongst some other currencies to watch out for too. Of course, he is dealing with millions of $$ to his clients, so my paltry Thai Baht isn't going to be much in comparison.

Fair enough - I have a brother who is also in this business (who doesn't travel anywhere without his Reuters currency pager, which becomes annoying since he is constantly looking at it like a watch!). I've just always shyed away at his suggestions from currency speculation.

Anyway, back to the topic, while Egypt is the lowest, Thailand is going to be the better place for me to start my (first) RTW for logistical reasons. Thanks to everyone here for all the info on the subject, it will be put to good use as I plan this thing.

In general, BKK is third to CAI in most conditions, with CMB garnering second spot. There are some exceptions, e.g. there are a bunch of African countries in second or third place for AONE* fares but the difference is minimal.

Here are the 3 / 4 / 5 / 6 continent fares, in US$ at today's exchange rates, for these countries.

Does anyone know how current this pricing information is?


Could one of the experts reprice these ptions based on today's fares and exchange rates?

Actually, Malaysia is third. Thailand is forth.

Fares ex BKK will already increase March 1, according to our fulfillment partner there.

PS: Glad to have gotten one of the last old-priced AONE6s ex CAI.
