Finnair at SGN ???

Landed at SGN yesterday on SQ and there was a Finnair 757-200 parked up. They were boarding as we were approaching immigration and it looked full. Does anyone know anything about this, they surely haven't started a service from Helsinki have they ?.

Can't find anything indicating flights on own metal via SGN. Can only assume it was a charter or the flight had to stop off there for operational reasons.

Yep, definitely a charter flight and also final destination in this case. Finnair uses their 757's purely for leisure flights and every far east flight also has to make a technical stop, nowadays I think somewhere in India.

cheers
