RTW Awards available?
Forgive the ignorance but is it possible to earn a RTW trip with American Airlines FF miles? If so, how many miles are needed? Is there a website that explains it in detail?
If not, what is all your opinion on the best usage of miles to hit as many international destinations as possible on one award? I know about stop overs and open jaw on 2 cities. Is it possible to use more miles and hit more cities? Thanks in advance. ------------------ Have fun today because tomorrow you may regret not enjoying yesterday... You can use your AA miles to construct a RTW using the Oneworld award chart.

Thanks! Can anyone recommend a good itinerary from DFW to hit as many countries as possible in Europe?

Sample itinerary. This should at least give you some ideas.
DFW-FRA-HEL-CPH-HEL-ARN-LHR-CDG-LHR-FCO-DUB-AMS-DUB-BRU-MAD-VIE-MAD-ZRH-DFW Thirteen countries in Europe. Distance Zone 7, total trip miles 20,001 to 25,000. Miles required 120Y/150C/230F. You are allowed unlimited segments, however, you may stop in each city once and connect no more than twice. [This message has been edited by ak (edited Jan 20, 2004).] |
AK,
Thanks! It was nice of you to take the time to post that. I think I'll use that later this fall. I know about the airtreks.com website but is there a better website that gives you an idea of which cities/routes you can take and the total number of mileage? I came across this link for calculating mileage. Seems pretty good. http://gc.kls2.com/ [This message has been edited by saint (edited Jan 21, 2004).] |
