3.Easter Island-Santiago
4.Santiago-Quito

-Oceania Santiago-Auckland(continental flight)
1.Christchurch-Brisbane

3.Alice Springs-Darwin
4.Darwin-Adelaide

-Aisa Sydney-Tokyo(continental flight)

It would help if you laid out your trip in order. For starters, without using any more European segments (all 4 are spoken for) you have to get from Paris to South America some way, and then eventually get back to London to catch that last flight to Cairo.

You might want to download one of the OWE downloadable timetables. Cathay offers one, as does American and OW themselves. They are far from perfect, especially looking for specific flights more than a couple of months into the future, but are about the best planning tool available.

You are allowed 2 stopovers in Europe (continent of origin). You did not designate which are transfers (less than 24 hours between flights) and which are stopovers, but probably you are in compliance with this rule. The itinerary you describe looks valid for the Oneworld Explorer ticket.

Here is what I think you are asking for:

cai-lhr-hel-cdg//lhr-gig//puq-scl-ipc-scl-uio//scl-akl//chc-bne-asp-drw-adl//syd-nrt-hkg-bkk-lhr-cai

This creates a few expensive open segments in South America. One suggestion would be to buy a separate round trip, scl-puq-scl. Then you would have:

cai-lhr-hel-cdg//lhr-gig-scl//puq-scl//ipc-scl-uio//scl-akl//chc-bne-asp-drw-adl//syd-nrt-hkg-bkk-lhr-cai

You could buy an extra segment in SA for the uio-scl return. Another suggestion is to reconsider going to Easter Island. Unless you really want to study the Moai statues, there is not much else there worth visiting.

Note that I have not checked that all point to point flights exist but they look reasonable.

I think I see his error. Those aren't intentional surface segments, he thinks he gets the connections for free!

He writes 4 flights for within each continent, and assumes you get a free flight between continents even though the start and end point isn't a gateway city.
