BA Tier Points on AONE RTW

Is there a way to work out how many tier points I will earn on certain routes?

JNB/NBO in F?
NBO/SEZ in F?

BA's website says that any longhaul BA flights earn 180 points - do these short routes count as longhaul?

Secondly, what happens if there is no F service and you are in J? Do you only earn J points for the flight even though you have paid for F?

Thanks for the info

The threshold is 2000 miles, so both will be considered shorthaul.

You would earn J if you flew in J, even though you had an F ticket.

There is no F service between Joburg and Nairobi.

As Darren says, the threshold is 2000 miles.

Under 2000 miles F is 60 points, J is 40, Y is 20.

Over 200 miles, F is 180, J is 120, Y is 160.

And when I say I actually mean Y, B and H only!

Thanks for clarifying this. The BA website doesn't include shorthaul F flights. I thought I might get away with full points!

I just wonder if it's worth dropping an email to BA to get their version. (Perhaps twice to see if they match.)

The points earning options here are for partner flights, and I'm no sure whether BA Franchisees count as partners or BA.

(You can get to the email option for BA by going to 'contact us' at the top of the website and selecting the email us tab).

Basically BA franchises have a BA flight #... which means you earn full tier point credit as a regular BA flight. The same is true for a BA-codeshare. I earned 30 tier points for the BA/Comair CPT-JNB flight in Biz last year.

This is classic - check out BA's response to my email!
