Reissue or sticker?
The last leg of my AONE4 issued in JNB was set to be PLZ-JNB. I would rather route CPT-JNB. My ticket was reissued last year by BA in the UK. Any views on whether they will insist on reissuing the remainder of the ticket or whether they will sticker the last segment? Would it be better to do this in the UK or wait until I am in SA?

You would need to reissue if the original city changes. BA cannot just 'sticker' it.

Not sure what they are supposed to do, but BA in London has always just stickered a change to a routing when only BA or QF flights are involved and the number of coupons remained constant. I have never been charged the change fee either.
rich ps. is there still a ticketing person in the Terminal 1 lounge? i always found that to be the best place to do these changes. |
I've had the same experience with BA -- they are very liberal with the stickers. A great convenience. They are supposed to reissue (and recalculate taxes and fees) plus collect the reissue fee, but BA often just stickers instead for BA flights. It does save a lot of paperwork.
