I'm sorry to be the dissenting voice here but I find LA to be a shabby outfit. I've done 4 AKL-SCL runs in J during the last year, plus a whole stack of Chilean internal (Y) and South American international (J) segments.

Service ranges from satisfactory to truly dismal. I've never come across a OW airline which almost makes you beg to have your glass re-filled. As for baggage handling, mine has been lost or damaged on ~ 50% of these trips.

I know there are a great many fans of this carrier and initially I put it down to bad luck on one or two trips, but looking back on all of these segs, I've formed the opinion that LA is a poor experience.
