Arrivals Lounge Logistics ?
Greetings,
I have a CX F award to HKG and JNB, so I know I can use the F lounges. However, how do arrivals work, in terms of checked luggage? Do I claim it and go back to the lounge, or will they hold it until I'm done freshening up? Or....? I always wondered about this, and since I haven't had the good fortune to experience it yet, thought you experts might advise. Thanks, Gene |
Don;t know at JNB but at LHR you get your bags go throguh customs and then go to the arrivals lounge. Nice think is if you want to shower you probably want your bags so it's a good thing.

Thanks!
What about in HKG, what is the procedure for the Wing and/or Pier arrivals in terms of checked baggage? |
The Wing and Pier are not available for use on arrival, only for departures or transit. Bascially, no BP for a departing flight, no arrivals lounge access.

The Wing and Pier are departure lounges. There is no CX arrivals lounge in HKG. If your checked luggage is too big to carry on then you will probably not be allowed to bring it through into the departure area. HKG is "picky" about this.
I suggest you carry on what you need to "freshen up" and check your luggage through. |
