OW Lounge in LIM?

LAN Chile flies there but I can't find any reference to a OW lounge at LIM airport... Can anyone speak from experience as I've got a 3-hout layover there. If not, how far is the airport from downtown?

Around 1-hour drive to downtown one-way. The cheapest way is the hotel bus which also makes a stop at the city centre and drives not only to the hotels in Miraflores. Lima is only safe (and with the help of a lot of policemen) during daylight.

I used a shared lounge (if I remember correctly: KLM, Lan Chile, Air France, Delta, ...) last year in october. A good selection of beverages and some snacks/small sandwiches. A working/business area is separated, so it's quiet there. As far as I remember, the lounge was smoke free (except the separated working area). No windows/views. I made also a picture.

You need to get an invitation at check in. I tried to use the lounge on a stopover and they did not let me in - since it is not an airline lounge. And you dont get invitations when you are inside security/immigration.

What about if you're just switching planes at LIM? (International to domestic)

No, it's gone.

If you exit immigration at Lima you are required to pay the US$28 airport tax.

Lan Peru don't have a lounge for domestic use - a pity as the domestic terminal is somewhat basic!

Actually, if you put up with a lot of paper work AND have immigration note your passport as a less than 24 hour stay when you arrive, you can get away without paying the $28. Or at least, that's what I was told by the clerks in the booth that collect the $28.

I believe the LIM AC closed down about two months ago -- at least that's when it was delisted from AA's promotional literature.

The rules appear to have changed - I did SCL-LIM-SCL on the same day and was forced to pay the $28.

Hi folks,
I was in Lima on Sunday night... I stopped into the very lounge, they seem to welcome OneWorld members...
Thanks,
-Shaown
