PH still part of GE

Can someone confirm whether Polynesian Airlines is no longer considered part of the participants in the Global Explorer product?

It is if only it is under a QF codeshared flight number.

In the rules that I'm seeing, PH is allowed without having to be a QF codeshare.

Not surprisingly, I'm confused. Are you suggesting that PH is still available on a GE route either on its own or under codeshare with QF? In attempting to arrange these segments on a GE RTW, UIO-SCL-AKL-APW-NAN-AKL-SYD, because PH is evidently no longer available, I am told I can't satisfy the 4 regional stopover condition because the direct AKL-APW segment does not fall on the right day of the week, requiring a longer than 24 hr. stopover in Auckland. Any suggestions?

My interpretation of the CX Rules ( http://home.so-net.com.hk/~pns/CXRule/ ) is that travel on PH is only permitted when it is a codeshare with a OneWorld airline (which means QF I guess). But In that case I don't see why they allow a booking under the PH flight number.

And the Star file at http://www.hardlink.com/~markdu/OWFi...lExplorer.html seems to allow travel on any PH flight.

So there is certainly room for interpretation - as always it depends entirely on the person issuing the ticket.

The Star file is explicit that a stopover is any break of more than 24 hours, so it is unlikely that you will get a "next available flight" exemption.
