Agent in France/CDG
 

My Ghana Study Aboard went through and now I am facing a $650 fare DTW-LHR-DTW and another $750 fare (UK website) LHR-ACC-LHR.

I will go back to HK and then UK in August and Sept respectively.

The problem to get a OWE ex-UK is basically I need to forfeit all 4 Europe segments (I used all 2pair of international arr/dept of origin country by doing LHR-ACC-LHR-USA-...-LHR) so need to find a way to get it ticket at CDG. (I can get someone to tkt it in London, but not Paris)

However, the school arrangement requires me to have ticket by next week for Ghana Visa, so I cannot do the "ticket at CDG on day of arrival" so thinking Agent as an option.

Of couse I can exclude the Ghana as my OEW itn, but it is $750 R-T versus $4xx for an additional continent!!

Any comments?

(P.S. So that means I but the RT DTW-LHR but only use Oneway since it is cheaper, any ideas where I can find cheap onwway fare?)

Hi HK-UMICH, I don't mean to be rude, but I really have NO IDEA what you're trying to do or say.

Can you perhaps explain slowly all over again?

GB: Sorry for the confusion, I think I am just too tired last night.

So this is the question:

1. ROUTING/COUNTRY OF ORIGIN ISSUE:
This is my intened itn:
DTW-LHR/MAN(oneway/rt discard inbound)
MAN-ACC-LHR/x-USA-ASIA-*LHR*-EUROPE-LHR(END)
(i.e. MONE4 ex-UK fare)

per OWE Rule: 1 international dept/arr at Country of Origin, except routing with ACC than 2 international dept/acc.

Therefore, I think the above itn is ONLY VALID UP TO *LHR* (i.e. I cannot use my Europe segments once I arrve LHR from Asia) Please advise if it is legal then the following question can be discarded.

Seeking Paris Agent Info
In order to get around the "1 international arr/dept at country of origin" limitation, I think about to tkt at Paris, but I CANNOT do my ticketing at CDG on day of departure since I need my tkt in advance for Ghana Visa. Therefore:

Any CDG/France Agent that can do OWE ticketing with ex-Paris fare, while can mail the ticket to me and charge my US-based credit card?

A lot of countries will allow a visa if you have an itinerary printed out. Check to see if Ghana is one of them, and I am sure that a travel agent or BA would create a reservation for you. AA did it for me to get my Brazil visa a long while ago.

It turned out my newly applied HKG passport allow me to Ghana Visa-Free.

I talked with AA, since ex-CDG fare is HIGHER than ex-LHR fare so I can issue it at London, so no CDG agent is needed!
