Do I get miles?

If I (as an AA EXP) fly on the following AA ticket, interlining to a oneworld carrier, do I get miles for all segments:

AA - JFK-NRT - This I know earns miles
AA - NRT-BKK - This too
CX - BKK-HKG - ?
QA - HKG-SIN - ?
AA - SIN-NRT - This does
AA - NRT-JFK - So does this

The farebasis is MXLM6P or similar
Does this earn AA miles on the CX segments?

If it does, why?.. if not (Which I think is the case) is there anything I can do about it?

I'm guessing the QA fare earns at 70%.. is that true?

Thanks for the help http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif

Your Booking class seems to be M.
AAdvatage web page
http://www.aa.com/apps/AAdvantage/ViewMileageProgramsDetail.jhtml?anchorEve nt=false&partnerType=Air
clearly describes milage accrual.

Unfortunately, M class on CX flight can not earn AA miles.
Only Y/B/H can earn miles on CX flight for AAdvantage.

M class on QF flight can earn 70% miles for AAdvantage.

Doesn't AA now codeshare on CX HKG-BKK? If so could you rebook your ticket on the AA code and get miles that way?

You could also fly Finnair BKK-HKG and earn full miles.

To earn miles for M fares on CX you can move to Canada -- or just get a Canadian address for your AAdvantage account.

AA doesn't currently extend its codeshare with CX on this route yet. But yes, you could try booking on AY and see what happens. Also the same for the BKK-SIN sector, try to book on AY instead of CX.
