Upgrades on Finnair ??
 

Does anyone know if Finnair has upgrades for a OWE ticket in M?
The idea of flying from HKG to HEL in economy does not appeal to me.

Then why did you buy a ticket in economy?

Maybe eveyone isn't as lucky as you are Guy Betsy.
Maybe I enjoy travelling business but can't afford business or first.
Thanks for pointing out the reason most people fly economy.

Now back to the original question...I guess you have no idea if Finnair has upgrades....

I don't know a 100% if Finnair has upgrades for M class. Last year I tried to find out (flying HEL-SIN), but if I remember correctly an upgrade would have cost at least the difference between a business and economy class ticket.

If possible, call Finnair sales and reserve in advance seat 22H in economy or an emergency exit seat. They have lots of legroom. But of course it can't be compared to the business class experience in seat 1H or 1G.

joe cold, that wasn't my intented reply to you. What I meant was if you purchased an economy ticket, then why ask if there is an upgrade possibility when you don't have a FINNAIR PLUS account? Shouldn't you stick to airlines that you could upgrade on?

FYI - I do fly coach. But then I have miles to upgrade to at least Business Class on airlines that can be upgraded.

Ugrades are only available if you have a ay issued ticket and are a Finnair Plus member. Then you can buy confirmed upgrades using plus points or alternatively if you are a plus Platinum level member (OW emerald) you will also get one free of charge long haul upgrade per year.

In the posts above, I believe GuyBetsy answered in a respectful fashion and your response was unprovoked. If you are new to FT, that is quite a first post. If you are an alias, why do you not have the confidence to use your usual FT user name?

Hmm, 2 posts from someone who seems to give 'constructive' comments versus my over 3700 posts? Someone with a new FT alias? Doesn't Randy have a way of checking ISP addresses to see who you really are?
