Hi

1. Does AA have a code share with Alaska Airlines that will be OK when flying on a OWE ticket ?

2. Is there (a) somewhere to store my luggage @ DFW instead of having it follow me around from DFW-ANC-DFW?

I don't think codeshares on AS (or any non-OW/OW-affiliated airline) qualify. You might check if AA has own-metal service (I think it does from ORD or DFW but might be seasonal).

ANC is seasonal. Its cold up there in winter.

For example on July 10 DFW-ANC direct is showing on AA metal, so is OK for OWE. They also go STL - ANC direct

DFW-ANC is 3042 miles. STL-ANC is 2936 miles. Both nice runs. One of the longer runs on AA under North American OWE rules

Just put any city pair in http://www.aa.com and see what happens. Changing date & morning, noon etc can get vastly different results sometimes.

Thanks for the info. Apparently AA start flying again to ANC direct on June 1. i was hoping to go DFW-ANC-DFW-SEA-LAX with the last leg on Alaska but will do another route instead.

Any info anyone on leving your luggage @ DFW ?
