Thanks christep - as i'm based in Eur (and heading East) it looks like I'll have to leave USA 10 days after leaving Eur. Makes planning the trips easier. I was going to keep some Eur segments back to do after the RTW part but that's not going to work now http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/frown.gif

It is a great drive and takes you through Kings Canyon. I did this in 2000. There is no "CCH" airport code. the 10 day rule counts intercontinental flights, according to AA RTW. so adding a jfk-bos tail cannot help.
if would be risky to try boarding the flight on a different date also, as you would be asked to rebook through the RTW desk. CX is always more relaxed on this rule, try CX and try the tail concept. (in fact, for ex-hkg OWE CX waive such restrictions) [This message has been edited by pegasus8228 (edited 10-29-2002).] |
So do you think CX would allow a pre-10 day departure HKG-JFK?

One way I found through the South Pacific is with the Air New Zealand - South Pacific Airpass:
AKL-NAN-RAR-PPT or AKL-RAR-PPT (min. 2 segments). Less than 600 US$. See for example http://www.pacificislandtravel.com/a..._airpass1.html Again, if you find something better, please let me know. [This message has been edited by ckorth (edited 10-30-2002).] |
