JL finally joins OneWorld!

quote: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Swiss, the successor to the late, once great Swissair, is still in negotiations with British Airways for a joint bilateral agreement for frequent flyer reciprocity before it will be officially welcomed into oneworld. Swiss has already sealed similar deals with oneworld members American Airlines, Finnair and Iberia Airlines. Don’t expect the BA-Swiss accord until early 2003. As reported, Shanghai-based China Eastern Airlines is a potential oneworld member and now Japan Airlines has been tendered and accepted an invitation to join. But wheels grind slowly in the alliance world. The earn-and-spend benefits with the two Asian carriers are a year away, or longer. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I have the sneaky suspicion that I'm jumping the gun with this.... but if it's accurate, then it's great news! ------------------ Smile.... your mother could have placed you in an A340! |
So, when will JL join? If they do, they'll be getting plenty of business from me.

not when, but if. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/wink.gif
While it is good news, I'll believe it when I see the official press release from JL and/or oneworld. FewMiles.. ------------------ [ FlyerTalkers' Resources on the Web ] [ Unofficial Guide to AAdvantage ] [ Unofficial oneworld Info Desk ] |
