OWE Virgin - Need Help......

I've spend a fair deal of time on this board but I can't figure out whether the following routing would be acceptable. Can I go to south america first and then do stopovers within the US? or does a flight change in MIA qualify as a stopover? Does this meet the two stopover in region of origin rule?Any advice would be appreciated on the following itinerary. Stopover points indicated (SO). Thanks

YYZ-MIA
MIA-GIG (SO)
GIG-MIA
MIA-MCO (SO)
FLL-EWR (SO)
JFK-HKG (SO)
HKG-BKK (SO)
BKK-SIN (SO)
SIN-FRA
FRA-HAM (SO)
HAM-LHR (SO)
LHR-YYZ

As you are originating in Canada, Canada and USA is considered one continent. You are only allowed 2 stopovers from the continent of commencement, which may be taken all at once or one stop now and another when you return. Note that within USA, a stopover is a connection of more than 4 hours. Second you cannot go to South America and return to the originating continent to continue onwards. You would need to go straight to Europe first and continue to Asia from there.

Thanks Guy...Figured I was breaking some rule. Well, I'll just have to cough up some extra dough for the trip to GIG. Oh well, just trying to be a good corporate citizen.

If all you want to do is roundtrip MIA-GIG then it may well be cheaper to do this on a separate ticket than pay the difference between a 3-continent and 4-continent OWE.

On the itinerary you propose (excluding MIA-GIG-MIA) you could have three more segments (but no more stopovers) in NA to maximise the miles. One of these segments can be a non-stop transcon.

You could also have 2 more segments in Asia (with as many stopovers as you like - stopovers are only limited in the continent of origin), and two more in Europe.
