Any chance oneworld will ever get "enhanced" enough for RTW tickets to give full mileage credit on all airlines also in coach? Right now it's a joke. For example, there are only 3.5 carriers out of 8 which give full AAdvantage miles for M class: AA, AY, LA, and BA (for some countries of residence, 0 for others). CX 0, EI 0, IB 30%, QF 70%. CX even has a better FF agreement with Qualiflyer than with their oneworld partner AA. Quite amazing.</font>
QF actually gives 100% miles and status credits for M class.

Is that a recent change? AA.com still says 70%.

Presumably the prices of these Student Visit Passes will be somewhat less than current/ordinary Visit Passes. This is a change that is, to my student mind, long overdue -- as at the moment it's often (ordinariliy?) cheaper to mess with various extremely discounted (but confusing and poorly-documented) student fares when gettingaround Europe. To be competitive, Oneworld does need this special student category of Visit fare -- and so I'm thrilled that they're doing so. Hope they roll it out while I'm still eligible to take advantage of it!

If collecting points to a QF account, they collect 100% miles and status credits throughout the OW alliance on M basis fares.

If collecting to AA they are whatever AA allow, which is, iirc, 70%.

You didn't mention accrual into an AA scheme in your post.

I believe I said "AAdvantage miles" which implies AA, but I agree it may have been too subtle.

Just seems to me that an alliance offering RTW tickets should allow mileage accrual for all flights into one account. It doesn't really help most people that they can get full credit for their RTW flights if they spread the miles over several programmes.

Looking back it does, but not until the second time. I missed the word advantage there. I was going on the 1st sentence which said

"Any chance oneworld will ever get "enhanced" enough for RTW tickets to give full mileage credit on all airlines also in coach? "

..but they can get full credit for their flights into one programme if they pick the right programme to accumulate miles into.
