What would you do BA overnight or SR daytime??
I have to be in JNB on March 22 for a meeting on March 23. The two routings I have are the following: I have a RTW OWE in which I have a non stop flight from LAX-LHR on March 20, arrive at 1PM and then have a BA flight on March 21 to JNB all in FIRST. I also have the ability to take the LAX-LHR flight on March 20, but then take a DAYTIME flight on March 22 form LHR-ZRH-JNB on SR. This would mean that I would not have to travel on two consecutive overnight flights to get to JNB. BUT flying on SR means no Q points for the AA aadvantage program. What would you guys do??? Incidentally, the ZRH-JNB flight would be on an AA award ticket as it is not part of ONE WORLD and I cannot use it as part of my OWE RTW ticket.

Since you are flying first class, I'd take the overnight flight from LHR-JNB. BA has sleeper seats and hands out pajamas onboard. The flight is long enough for a good dinner, a good sleep, and breakfast on awakening.
My advice would differ if you were flying in the back - but you aren't. First class is great on BA. |
If flying BA FC, there's no problem to overnighting. I've never enjoyed such comfortable overnight flights.
I hope you've found a solution to the trans-Atlantic accrual limitations. |
Thanks for all of your replys. My choice is clear.
