Both the QantasLink airlines you mention are fully owned subsidiary airlines of Qantas. They operate under QF flight numbers and to the best of my knowledge are valid for OWE fares. Check with your agent, but there should be no reason that you cannot use these services.

When I posted this yesterday the system I normally use was down so I was taking information from the Cathay Pacific/OAG downloadable timetable. When my system came back up this morning I found something very different! The BNE-PPP flight is operated by National Jet Systems and SYD-HTI is operated by Impulse Airlines!! Both of which are on the list. What OAG have something different I have no idea. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif

One of my OWE segments from Ayers Rock to Perth is a Qantas Airlink segment. Seemed to be no problem.
|
Should not be any problems. The NJS flights will be BAe146 aircraft and the Impulse flights will be B717 aircraft. The 717's are single class Y config with no IFE, and the BAe146 has a small J cabin and Y, again no IFE.
All can be considered QF domestic flights. The NJS and Impulse operations are really just accounting and historical hangovers. |
Looks like it is being sorted. The problem was the Cathay/OAG timetable contained duff information. We have booked SYD-HTI-SYD to keep within the 4 SWP segments as we are also doing SYD-PER-SYD.
I didn't realise that SYD-HTI was single class as the segments have been left "Open" but class is shown as "D". http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/frown.gif |

Flew the 717 to HTI couple of months ago -- pitch 32" exactly, recommend highly over the 146s if you can -- looks like you're going for it, good choice.
Seat on the "2" side rows 2 - 6, quiet and great views. Brilliant pax cabin, note the handrails, clever. All econ, good service. Cheers! ------------------ Glen, QFAA |
Of course if you want to fly business class to Hamilton Island using your "D" RTW, you could try going through Brisbane. QF746 from BNE-HMI uses a 737. But will depend on the number of "segments". Does SYD-BNE-HMI count as one segment if no BNE stopover?
This must be the route being offered by the Channel Nine cricket competition since they are offering a prize including business class flights to Hamilton Island. |

Chartering a yachet from Hamilton Island to spend a week sailing around the Whitsunday's. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/biggrin.gif http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/biggrin.gif |
Sounds like you are goiung to have fun. Enjoy your trip. Whitsundays is a wonderful place to go. What time of your will you be there? Remember thay in Feb, March and even into April you can get big storms or cyclones, so keep an eye on the weather if you're sailing.
We are looking at driving up there in June (about 14 hours drive from Brisbane) to show the kids where we honeymooned 12 years ago (Airlie Beach and Sth Mole Is). Cheers, NM |
We are not going until 3rd Jan 2003! We had to get the ticket issued early before the 15% price rise in South Africa.
Dived the GBR in Christmas 2000. Took a liveaboard for 5 nights from Cairns and went to the outer reef. Fantastic! |
