transit facilities at AUH (Abu Dhabi) compared to DXB (Dubai)
I have read of some of you people flying to DXB and returning a few hours later when travelling on a OWE fare and said that this is possible.
Has anyone here tried the same with Abu Dhabi instead of Dubai? If not, is it because Abu Dhabai lacks the proper transit facilities to allow one to stay airside? |
Why would you want to do Abu Dhabi? DXB is further and offers 2 daily flights offering better recovery if an earlier flight goes wrong.

The best transit faci;ities after SIN and HKG are at DXB. Only headache is the transit desk and security which have a long line. Clearing immigration and rechecking is very easy and takes less than 30 minutes. I would vote DXB as the ideal turn around after having done it twice this year

I have never booked luggage and do not know. Any way you will have 150 minutes or 8 hours for turn around depending on the flights and check in is easy and fast. To save time take an electric cart to and fro to immigration The walk is about 10 minutes on the moving belt. Immigration takes less than a minute.
Good luck(Buy a ticket for the limited membership Lotteries and youy never know http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif) |
