owe explorer booked!

Thanks to the help of all the generous folks out there I have finally booked and ticketed the following economy owe 4 contintent fare:

mel - syd - hkg - yyz - dfw - yvr - jfk (lga) - rno - mia - phx - lgw - cdg - lhr - dxb - lhr - hkg - bom - hkg - sin - hkg - akl - mel

This trip yields just under 60 000 miles and I have utilised all my segments with the exception of having two spare in the SW pacific. I would like to have used those segments for a domestic holiday in australia later a few months after my rtw, but qantas wouldn't allow it and i don't have the time to utilise them at the end of my rtw..

FOr all those of you looking for cheap economy owes, i obtained mine for less than 2500aud, which is less than 1250us!!

I also have a few qns which some of you guys might be able to answer:

1) My TA says the piece system will apply for segments only to / from the US and not within asia / europe. However on my ticket under allowance it says "PC" for each and very sector...so does this mean that the piece system applies throughout the whole journey??

2)I'm flying mel - syd - hkg - yyz on dec 3 and am waitlisted on dec 5 due to the syd - hkg flight being full. Over the last few days on itn i've noticed that the flight is occasionally available before filling up again..does this mean that ppl have changed to other flights and the pax who were waitlisted have been confirmed?? Also, how does one pull up the subclass availablity on itn?? I've noticed that on dec 4 and dec 6 there are discount economy seats available but i'm unsure what subclass they are..

3) my taxes total roughly aud370. Is that reasonable?? Funny thing is, my taxes were originally going to be approx aud250, but after i had paid for the ticket they called me and said that due to insurance or security surcharges they were to increase. Another funny thing is that i called my TA on Oct 1 to reroute, yet my ticket says that it was issued on Sep 30 (I paid in full on Sep 29).

4) More for interest's sake than anything else, but does anyone out there know what the figures in the fare calculation box actually mean??

FYI - transitting through BOM is going to be very troublesome if you do not have an Indian visa. It can be done, but it's just problematic.
