How much is a simple RTW Bus Class?
 

I have a business trip to London coming up. I was considering doing a RTW (e.g., JFK-LHR-HKG-JFK) instead of JFK-LHR Business Class. Would this work or would the RTW Bus Class be nmuch more expensive?

simple business RT to LHR about $6500
RTW (OW, 3 continent) in Business $5200+taxes

so it is cheaper to fly the long way back.
but if u really want to save money, there might be some option of jfk-lhr-europe which is cheaper than simply jfk-lhr, e.g. $3500 jfk-lhr-spain/portugal/germany/sweden

It's actually not about the $$ but it is somewhat of a mileage run.. ;=)

Suggestion:

Buy a OW ticket from JFK-Stockholm.
Business class is 2100.00 w/o stopover in LON.

Buy a OWE 3continent from Sweden...$2900.00

You will then have another o/w transatlantic trip in J.

Total cost about $5000.00

1. what would be the routing from Sweden? Would it be Stockholm-HKG-JFK?
2. Can I buy that ticket from here eventhough it is ex-Stockholm?

Yes...you can do ARN-LHR-HKG-JFK (then you have six free sectors domestically) and then you have a remainder ticket from JFK-LHR-ARN.

That itin is only $2900.00 and can be ticketed in USA

and yes again http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif u can issue the ex-ARN OWE RTW ticket in US
