JNB Price Increase 1 July 2017 ?????
Did the prices of South Africa Explorer fares just increase? I put a new DONE05 ex-JNB on hold that prices out at SA ZAR 153,069 ($11,693.36USD). ExpertFlyer still shows price as $7857.86(USD).
When I manually enter a DONE05 with slightly different routing on the OneWorld online planner I get:
Total price for all flights selected
Fare Component: 9,319.00 USD
Taxes and Carrier Surcharges/Fees: 712.70 USD
Total: 10,031.70 USD

Who is the ticket on hold with and what did they quote as the base fare?
Once you know that it will be clearer if this is a mistake or a price change. The difference between this quote and the planner result for the slightly different routing seems a bit much to be accounted for by only taxes and fees., which suggests these two sources may be using different base fares, both of which differ from Expert Flyer.
Although the ZAR has been a bit volatile lately, the fluctuations do not seem to be sufficient to account for the varying prices.

9319 USD is the price of a DONE6 (at Sunday's FX rate).
Are you sure an extra continent was not inserted?

If you post both the routing on hold and the slightly different routing entered in the tool, it would be possible to check for sure.

Am curious as to why you did not choose to start in Mozambique. Seems too close to not take advantage of the about $1k lower fare, especially since your first flite is to DOH.

Also, if you're ever curious, the Oneworld new booking tool will display base fares after you select origin city and the cities you are visiting (which indicate # of continents).
