Where do I book RTW ticket?
 

Hi Folks

I plan to start my RTW trip in Germany (even though I live in London) as it is considerably cheaper.

Do I have to buy my ticket in Germany or can I buy it anywhere?

You have to buy it and have it issued in Germany. But there is nothing to keep you from setting up a reservation in the UK and having it ticketed when you get there. Just leave a few days for the associated problems and for the time it will take to write it. Otherwise, get a German travel agency to issue it and post it to you.

From the latest info I've received from this board is that the cheapest RTW can be bought from Fiji according to Ozstamps. I don't know how much this fare is but it is certainly cheaper than the one form Germany and I am even confident that it will be even cheaper than buying a return fare from Germany to NAN and back. So, my suggestion is: get a FRA-NAN-FRA and NAN-RTW. If you have the time then you will just increase your miles.

It will show updated prices for many countries. To book it just call BA and ask for the RTW desk. They can set it up and as Darren already said you can pick up the ticket in the country your ticket starts. Just make sure you have some time as printing these tickets will take some time.
