This board has been incredibly helpful, was just reading and absorbing, but can use help now.I am AA Plat and would like to max miles on Asia trip. I would appreciate any suggestions for the following itinerary:
9/9 eve LAX-HKG
9/12 HKG-XMN
9/17 XMN-HKG
9/17 HKG-JKT
9/20 JKT-LAX or
9/20 JKT-HKG-LAX

XMN isn't served from HKG by a OW carrier. CX might have a codeshare with Dragon, but you can't use it with either the OWE or Circle Pacific.

hkg-xiamen, need another RT ticket, cost about 300$ in Y, 450$ in J

Thanks Darren and Pegasus for the input.So I guess I won't be able to use Asia pass or OWE? Prob. just do LAX-HKG on a roundtrip with two seperate roundtrips HKG-XMN and HKG-JKT.

well...i believe it is cheaper if you buy
lax-jkt RT on CX (stop by HKG),
and a RT HKG-XMN

lax-jkt could even be cheaper than lax-hkg!
(if u r buying full fare, but 2 oneways, instead of 1 RT)
