Using special promos. with OW tix?

I have a OW RTW next week (yay!) and was wondering if I can use promotions with my ticket. I see most promos require a certain country of purchase or a return routing and so on, but I am interested in this one, as it seems I could apply. Any one with experience on these issues?

yes, if you are flying biz or F, you are booked in A,D, which is stated clearly in their condition and terms

yes for business (D), but not for first (A)..."A" was in last year's loyalty maximizer but not this year's...

When all is said and done, call AA and they will give you the miles for A class. At least that was my experience.

Nice one!

Anyone have any others that I might be missing out on?

I am:

CX ICN-HKG
CX HKG-YYZ
BA YYZ-LHR
BA LHR-MAD
IB MAD-IBZ
IB IBZ-BCN
FN BCN-HEL
FN HEL-NRT
------
CX NRT-HKG
CX HKG-ICN

I don't THINK there are anymore, but maybe someone knows better (you guys!)

BA YYZ-LHR
</font>
If you want AAdvantage miles you should be careful with this one. Transatlantic BA flights may not qualify for AA miles.

Also, Finnair is AY rather than FN.

Yep, I know about the YYZ-LHR flight. Bummer, but I'll register for a BA card. Not much to be done about that........

You may have a very tight schedule, but otherwise YYZ-BOS-LHR or YYZ-ORD-LHR on AA might be an option.

pegasus8228 Jun 9, 2001 9:06 pm

not YYZ-BOS...90% chance of delay on any short haul to BOS for myself. if u have better luck, 70%? http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif

RDP Jun 9, 2001 10:39 pm

OMG, you guys crack me up. But wait till you hear my original plan!

YOW-BOS AA
BOS-JFK AA
JFK-LHR BA

WHY!? I wanted the bed. ORD got me in to late for my LHR-MAD, so that was out, and BOS-LHR on BA is no BED, but in the end I took the better connection and all and went with YYZ-LHR, no bed though...... to bad AA doesn't go YYZ-LHR (through ORD only) so OH WELL..............

:-)

I'll try one more idea then I'll shut up a while... http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif

What about YYZ-MIA-MAD on AA?

RDP Jun 10, 2001 7:54 am

Yep, that could have done it as well. Connections not as smooth as I have it now, but my tickets were sent last Friday by courier............

:-) (cheap smile)

Put it down for next year..............
